Terrace Rotary teams up with Rain-Catcher Gutters to apply finishing touches to the McConnell Estates Gazebo project

Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Terrace joined forces with Rain-Catcher Gutters on Saturday (July 15, 2023) to add some finishing touches to the McConnell Estates Gazebo project, which was begun in 2019.
Construction of the gazebo and walkway was begun in 2019, intended to provide a functional and accessible outdoor area for seniors with limited mobility. The project was spearheaded by Terrace's two Rotary clubs (Terrace Rotary and Terrace Skeena Valley Rotary), with contributions from Superior Linen, Canadian Tire, Progressive Ventures Construction, Dave Gordon and McElhanney Ltd. The $75,000 project was funded in part by proceeds raised through the Rotary Auction held in November along with community donations and other fundraising events, and through donations from local businesses.
It was largely completed in 2020, but it was decided more work was needed to make the gazebo more attractive and usable, and on Saturday a small group of volunteers installed soffit, gutter and other finishing touches.
Below are some photos of the weekend project.
