Colin Mohr Wins $25,000 -- because his was the fastest duck in this year's Terrace Rotary Wild Duck Race.
And he was just as fast as his duck was, racing down to Ferry Island today to receive his prize money from Club President Chad Sallenback

The 2023 Terrace Rotary Wild Duck Race is now history -- and area residents showed strong support as all 3,500 tickets were sold.

The race is part of Terrace's annual Riverboat Days celebrations, and raises money that the Rotary Club uses to fund worthy local projects and organizations.

Club Treasurer Rich Toomey estimates this year's Duck Race generated about $39,000 in revenue, which will go into a fund which contributes to various gaming-eligible organizations.

This year's First Prize Winner was Colin Mohr, who was presented with a cheque worth $25,000 by club president Chad Sallenback at Ferry Island, shortly after the race was completed.

Second Prize went to Brenda DeJong and Third Prize to Sonny Dickens -- both win helicopter rides courtesy of Canadian Helicopters.

Our Fourth Prize winner ($500 Safeway Gift Card) was Diana Falardeau and our Fifth Prize winner ($500 Canadian Tire Gift Card) was Virginia Russell.

The Rotary Club would like to thank all our sponsors who donated prizes and we also thank Emil Anderson Maintenance for controlling highway traffic on the bridge during the race.

And most of all, we want to thank everyone who purchased a ticket this year -- thank you all for your continued support!
