Speaking at a Meeting
Speaker’s FAQ
The Rotary Club of Terrace was chartered in 1954 and is the community’s most active and well-known service organization. During the past 66 years, Terrace Rotarians have volunteered thousands of hours for community and international service and invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in community, regional and world-wide projects. We are part of a global organization with over 1.2 million members in more than 200 countries.
Our club has two annual fundraisers each year. The first is the Great Terrace Rotary Wild Duck Race, which is held every BC Day during the Riverboat Days celebration, and the second is our Annual Terrace Rotary Auction, which is held every fall. These two events raise close to $100,000 every year and this money is invested in projects in our community, the region, and the world.
Members of the Rotary Club of Terrace are prominent business, government, education and community leaders in the Terrace area.
The Rotary Club of Terrace meets every Monday, from 12:15-1:15pm. Please plan to arrive at noon. The speaker is introduced after lunch at approximately 12:35pm. The meeting is promptly adjourned at 1:15pm.
The club meets at the Bavarian Inn at 4332 Lakelse Ave, Terrace, BC. The restaurant’s entrance is under the canopy – just head up the stairs as you go in.
The club has approximately 40 members. An average of 20-25 members and guests attend the weekly luncheons.
