COVID-19 may have once again stopped the Rotary Club of Terrace from dropping thousands of plastic ducks into the Skeena River this year -- but it didn't stop the club from generating more money for its funding programs in the community.
For the second straight year, the club was forced to hold a ticket raffle, rather than its annual Riverboat Days Wild Duck Race, due to the pandemic.

But Club Treasurer Rich Toomey says ticket sales were as brisk as ever this year, with the club reporting gross revenues of $72,280.

After expenses are deducted – including paying out the top prize of $25,000 – the club will use the proceeds to support projects both here in Terrace and around the world.

This year's top prize winner was Falecia Tait – a former Terrace resident who now lives in Prince George (photo at right).

The winner of the second prize – a 1/2 hour helicopter ride courtesy of Canadian Helicopters Ltd – was Erick Christiansen.

Ashley Phillips won the third prize (a $500 gift card from Safeway) and Tom Radek claimed the fourth prize (a $500 gift card from Canadian Tire).
