The Rotary Club of Terrace has been honoured for its commitment to the Rotary Foundation.
During a recent visit by District Governor Lorne Calder, Club President Sean Bujtas and Foundation Committee Chair Dave Merritt were presented with a certificate recognizing the club's "Major Donor Level 1" status for raising $13,768 during the 2020-2021 Rotary year.
Of that total, $11,595 goes to Rotary's Annual Program Fund (APF) and the remaining $2,172 is for Rotary's "Polio Plus" program, designed to eradicate polio globally.
The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions.
