Terrace Rotary donates over $107,000 during 2021-22 year  
 
 
As the new Rotary year begins, outgoing Terrace Club President Sean Bujtas reflected on another very successful year for the club, as he turned the gavel over to incoming President Manuela Krisinger.
 
In a speech to club members, Bujtas noted the Rotary Club of Terrace gave out over $107,000 to community projects as well as $25,000 of in-kind work in 2021/2022.
 
Between the Auction and the Duck Race, the club raised almost $90,000.
 
Rotary supported the following groups this year:
 
- Terrace Women’s Resource Society Imagination Library: $5000
- Terrace Minor Hockey Association sponsorship: $400
- Salvation Army Christmas hampers: $2500
- Terrace Churches Food Bank: $2000
- Terrace Boy Scouts Kayak program life jackets: $1750
- Thornhill Primary PAC Climbing Wall: $5000
- Caledonia PAC Rugby Scrum Machine: $2000
- Dare to Dream Foundation Band Retreat: $1000
- Veritas PAC grade 8 field trip: $1000
- Skeena Middle School PAC GPS Units: $1653.28
- REM Lee Hospital Foundation: $10,000
- Rotary World Help: $290
- Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund: $500
- My Mountain Co-op Snow Angels Program: $2500
- Stitching Generations Quilt Supplies: $3000
- Rotary Club of Lautoka Fiji girls sanitary kits: $1500
- Snow Valley Nordic Skiing Club Safe System for Snow Cat: $2000
- Skeena Valley Rotary Club Starfish Backpack: $6500
- Kinsmen Kin Camp Hedge: $5000
- Rotary Foundation: $2000
- Rotary Foundation Polio: $2000
 
On top of this, we have committed approximately $20,000 to the Dog Park and $25,000 of in-kind work.
 
We have also partnered with the City of Terrace and committed $30,000 to build 3 Expression swings at George Little Park.
 
In 2021/2022, the Rotary Club of Terrace brought in 7 new members, with 3 more proposed members soon to join.
 
He also issued a big thank you to all the folks who have supported the club, which helps makes these projects possible.
 
We now look forward to incoming President Manuela Krisinger who will lead us through the 2022/2023 year.
